Warm Greetings!

Congratulations on being accepted to study at the University of the Western Cape, and hope that you will enjoy your study journey. The Library pledges its commitment to support you in achieving your study goals in 2023.

The Library doors are open for learning from 8:20 to midnight during weekdays of the academic calendar, with a vibrant new  24/7 Study Centre in the basement for the conscientious learner, during vacation we are open until 16:30, please check us on the library webpage for more details:  https://lib.uwc.ac.za.

Our interactive Website offers a full digital service platform with a plethora of critical and core quality peer-reviewed articles; e-books; discipline databases, past exam papers, research repository materials as well as Faculty Libguides which support student learning and add value to your curricula and research needs. Please access the library search engine uKwazi to access the Online Library Services and Resources, First Year Student Experience page or our Research Support page on the website.

Online full-text resources are zero-rated data and can be easily downloaded, via VPN Connect. Check-in with our real-time Ask a Librarian Chat Service on the webpage, during normal work hours or drop an email for your faculty librarian to help with your library requests.
